This is one that tends to frighten people, because we’re hard-wired to fear our own death. But it doesn’t mean a literal death.
Outward Meaning
Change, transformation, endings, letting go
A major change is coming. Something ends, something else begins. This may also be a call to simplify your life, putting aside what you’ve outgrown.
Rather than the big, life-rocking change of The Tower, this is a smaller letting go. It should serve as a reminder that no past era of your life was perfect. Learning from the past, not lionizing it, contributes to your inner strength.
Questions to Ask Yourself
What no longer serves me? How do I let go of that?
Ramblings
Anxiety and excitement often feel the same in our bodies, which may be why it’s hard to separate “this is the sad ending” from “this is the exciting beginning.” But learning to spot the flower in the weeds, so to speak, is very important. After all, if we reject and run away from change, we’ll be doomed to suffer in a loop.
