The Chariot

This card is near and dear to my heart, given it’s “my” card (according to numerology, which we’ll delve into later).

Outward Meaning

Forward momentum, taking control, willpower, intention

The reins are in your hands and nothing can stop you now! Through sheer drive and willpower, you’re taking it across the finish line. There may still be bumps and potholes, but victory is assured.

Questions to Ask Yourself

What am I driving toward? How will I know I’ve reached my goal?

Ramblings

This is one of those cards where every deck, even if it’s not based on the Rider-Waite-Smith imagery, has a similar image. Some type of conveyance is in motion, and someone or something is in the driver’s seat. I like that it makes the meaning so literal.

I also like that this is an “ego card” in that it boosts confidence rather than giving advice or auguring something to come. There are only a handful of tarot cards that carry this solid of an attaboy message.

Examples

*I’ve compiled the meanings above from several different deck guides, tarot books, and personal readings.
